Are Back Bay Contractors (Real Estate Virginia Beach) Still In Business?

I received frantic call from one of my past Virginia Beach real estate clients today concerned that Back Bay Contractors is not returning phone calls, emails, and their office empty. I placed similar calls with no answer other than the number is not accepting any calls.

My client has been waiting for months to get “punch list” completed plus a couple of serious items fixed since closing in Nov 2007.

Are there Virginia Beach real estate home buyers who have put deposits down on a new home being built by Back Bay and now wondering what will happen?

The Tidewater Builders Association website does not list Back Bay as a member.

Back Bay’s website states they are a TBA member.

Back Bay contractors currently advertise new construction real estate in Heritage Park, Victoria Park, Sherwood Lakes, Prince George Estates, and Mayberry, all located in Virginia Beach, VA.

There is one real estate development in Chesapeake, Chapel Hill.

Do you due diligence when considering new construction real estate.

Back Bay was a member of Tidewater Builders Association. They let their membership go in Jan of this year. I’m sure however, that you may be able to contact TBA and someone there may be able to locate them.

Rumour is they left town……….I think we need to know when a builder opts out of TBA -- might be a signal to consumers.
