Fixer Uppers in Virginia Beach come in all prices and sizes.  Some well over a million dollars and some very cheap in price. They do not always resemble the below picture so keep the faith.

Buyers need to pay close attention when considering a fixer upper.   A few things:

  1. Will the home past the lender’s appraisal if the buyer is financing?   If needing major work, probably not.  Hence, Virginia Beach cash buyers or rehab loans for fixer uppers may be the only course.
  2. Do you have good reserves of money once you commence the fixer upper repairs?  Often once you get into the fixing you find other problems.  Always get a home inspection.
